"In 2020, Charizard started summoning linoprint demons: studies in weariness, desire, ego, and malice. In 2022, we posted 100 of them around the world to various friends of ours – writers, artists, performers, perverts – seeking words of wisdom to help make sense of and better listen to these little malicious freaks."
"The Demon is the thing that slips through the cracks. The Demon is the crack. It's all the little holes in your home through which things seep through: critters, moisture, baddies, lovers, ugly histories, the outside. It is the violation that you can't bear, that you can't say no to, that you can't live without.
"We love Demons, but we don't know them. (The Demon is the thing you don't yet know.) We recognize them by the feeling of their presence. (The feelings you pretend not to have.) They might taste electric, sour, strange, sweaty, ripe, rotten, alive. The floor might drop out, as will your guts, and you will flush with blood and shame and glee.
"No matter how confident we may become, no matter how much we think we know what's going on, we trust the Demons can always return. And we thank them for each humiliating visit."
Description from Paul's instagram posts about the project, as it was slowly being gathered up. I no longer remeber which parts i contributed, and I love this project. The publication was made in a hand-printed first edition of 30, with rumours of a riso version long circulating.
